AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. It marks the beginning of fifth generation of computers. The following are the main features of different generations of computers-
First Generation- Vaccum Tubes
Second Generation- Transistors
Thir Generation- Integrated Circuits
Fourth Generation- Microprocessors
Fifth Generation- Artificial Intelligence
The aim for fifth generation computers is to develop devices that respond to natural language input and are capable of learning and self-organising. Voice recognition systems that convert spoken words into written words came into existence due to the AI. The most common AI programming language is LISP and PROLOG.
Regarding its future, AI will ease our job, but slowly and steadily with the passage of time, people will start to lose their jobs as AI will replace them. Thanks to the hollywood movies, I have a vision that in distant future ( not too distant) AIs like Ultron and SkyNet will try to take over the world and end the humanity. I can be wrong completely.
